ON TUESDAY NIGHT, when fewer people crowd the Gallery, you will enjoy the most exclusive visit of Florentine paintings!
This tour will focus specifically on the Renaissance in one of the greatest galleries in the world.
The Uffizi Gallery was built under the patronage of Cosimo I de’ Medici as an office for the Florentine Magistrates and today houses a vast and magnificent collection. We will see the painting by Piero della Francesca, Filippo Lippi and of course the major works by Botticelli – “The Birth of Venus” and “Spring” - as well as Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpieces and Michelangelo’s “Tondo Doni”. The guide will use the gallery as a text to narrate the history of art through the paintings you will see, helping you appreciate the richness of the museum while absorbing its highlights and learning about the techniques used to create these outstanding artistic achievements.
