Francesco is an art historian and a literary critic with an MA in Literature and Modern Languages and a PhD in Humanities from the University of Florence.
Francesco studied in the U.S. at Berkeley University and in the U.K at the London Royal Holloway College, where he was granted a postgraduate scholarship.
During his stay abroad, Francesco specialized in visual arts and communication skills. He studied theater and film theory and its connections with art history.
He has been a tour guide in Florence since 2015 and he is currently managing Walks Inside Florence. As an independent researcher, he has published articles on the Grand Tour and American art historians, artists and exiles who settled in Florence at the beginning of the 20th century.
His main interests are Michelangelo’s art and life, Mannerism, 15th century architecture, the Medici family history and the early Renaissance masters with a particular focus on Masaccio, Donatello and Fra Angelico.
